Actilis 20mg is primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It contains Tadalafil, a PDE5 inhibitor that improves blood flow to the penis, helping men achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated. Unlike other ED medications, Actilis 20mg has a long-lasting effect of up to 36 hours, allowing for more spontaneity in sexual activity.
In addition to ED, Actilis 20mg is sometimes prescribed for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition that causes urinary issues due to an enlarged prostate. Tadalafil helps relax the muscles in the prostate and bladder, improving urine flow and reducing symptoms like frequent urination or difficulty emptying the bladder.
In some cases, doctors may also recommend Actilis 20mg for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) to improve blood circulation in the lungs. However, it should only be taken under medical supervision for any of these conditions.
